This is a practical, friendly and non-judgmental look at what we can do to help our children – and our whole family – to have a healthier diet and a healthier weight.
With child obesity spiraling in Ireland many parents are looking for help in keeping their children at a healthy weight. This workshop takes a practical look at the food issues that our kids encounter today. We talk about how to recognize if your child is overweight. We look at portion sizes, healthy snacks, the impact of what we drink on our weight and take in the whole topic of sugar. Sarah will go through changes the whole family can make so that one child is not singled out and she will also talk about how to maintain a healthy weight through teens and into adulthood.
